The STEEL TOE design of the shoe includes a left and right asymmetrical anatomically correct steel toe for a roomier toe box, providing maximum comfort and a perfect fit. The Lansing Mid meets or exceeds ASTM F2412 and F2413 I/75 and C/75 Standards.

For improved traction, the shoe is equipped with oil- and slip-resistant rubber outsoles that meet or exceed ASTM F1677 MARK II and ASTM F2913 SATRA Non-Slip Testing Standards. The lug sole patterns provide grip on slick surfaces. Additionally, the shoe is waterproof thanks to the KEEN.DRY breathable membrane liner, which allows vapor out without letting water in, keeping feet dry and comfortable.

In terms of protection, the shoe is Electrical Hazard (EH)-rated to provide a secondary source of protection from live electrical circuits. A full-length TPU stability shank offers added support. Reflective safety features enhance visibility, and moisture-wicking textiles keep feet dry.
